Young Connor rides into his first battle with his clan, against the Frasers
On the battlefield Connor is 'killed' by the Kurgan but miraculously recovers
Cursed as a demon, only the intervention of his friend Angus prevents the clan from burning Connor; Instead, he is banished from the Clan
Connor meets Heather MacDonald and her father, Angus, in Glencoe. Angus MacDonald teaches Connor blacksmithing

The Immortal Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez finds Connor in Glencoe and teaches him about Immortality and the rules of the Game and the Gathering, when the few Immortals who remain will battle to the last; he warns Connor of the danger of an evil Immortal like the Kurgan winning the Prize and plunging mankind into an "eternity of darkness"

After barely escaping with his head in Babylon, Greece and China, Ramirez fights the Kurgan for the fourth and final time while Connor is away hunting
Heather tells Connor she was hiding in the woods, and never tells him that the Kurgan raped her after killing their friend

After a plague strikes Glenfinnan's farm animals, the villagers decide Connor MacLeod is to blame. Knowing they can't hurt him, they instead decide to burn his mother at the stake. Connor goes to try and save her but fails. In his rage and anguish, he nearly destroys the village.

Connor comes home one night to find Heather using a knife to cut off part of her hair. When he asks why she did it, she replies it was the one part of her that she could give him which would never age, so that he could always remember her the way she was when they first married.
(Strictly a guess at the year. Connor says "many years" after they were married.)

Heather dies of old age in Glencoe
Connor buries Heather and burns their home; he takes Ramirez's sword with him and moves to Edinburgh where he learns to read and write; he stays there around ten years; during the last six months of this time, he lives with a farmer and the man's young daughter until bandits try to rape the girl; Connor kills the bandits, but not before taking a crossbow bolt in the chest in full view; because he saved them from the bandits, the farmer helps Connor by sneaking him away from town and faking his burial; Connor leaves for London; in England he meets the Immortal Thomas Cavanaugh, who introduces him to many other Immortals; Cavanaugh also stresses that the Prize must not be won by an evil Immortal; Connor leaves England for France, and is surprised when Cavanaugh decides to travel with him; Connor begins to court Isabelle Tourez, a cousin of the King, but barely a month into the relationship, Cavanaugh reminds Connor of Heather and convinces him to break off with her; late at night after telling Isabelle he must leave, Connor and Cavanaugh are caught by the King's guards who arrest them after a short fight; the next morning, Cavanaugh is executed by beheading; Connor receives his friend's Quickening and then escapes while the guards are too stunned and scared to try and stop him; he leaves Europe for Asia
1590s
Kane and his two Immortal henchmen travel across Asia to the mountain of Niri in search of the Immortal sorceror Nakano
Connor is training with Nakano
Kane and his henchmen find them
Connor tries to save Nakano but is in turn saved by the sorceror and forced to flee
Kane kills Nakano, but the three evil Immortals are trapped in the cave when the Sorcerer's Quickening causes it to collapse; Connor escapes with his head
